This well appointed, cosy wooden cottage is on a large corner lot in a friendly lake community. The perimeter of the property is well treed giving it excellent privacy, while the area from the cottage to the lake (approximately 50m) is a flat, manicured lawn perfect for campfires under the stars and playing all kinds of sports. Small children are easily supervised from the kitchen window or deck and the shed has plenty of toys. More than 100 feet of waterfront includes a sandy beach with gradual entry, overlooking a quiet bay in a small lake with safe swimming at comfortable temperatures. As Benoir Lake is linked with the larger Elephant and Baptiste Lakes, fishing, boating, canoeing, and skiing can also be enjoyed in deep waters stretching over 30 miles. Algonquin Park campsites and hiking trails can be accessed by canoe launched from the cottage dock, and the South gate of the park is less than 3 kilometres away for entry on foot. There are plenty of cultural attractions in nearby Bancroft and Halliburton, as well as an 18 hole golf course and a horseback riding stable less than 5 kilometres away. There is a small marina and boat launch on Benoir lake itself, which also offers a gas bar and snack bar/store/payphone. The number is 705-448-2387 but it is only for Benoir Lake!
Each weekly rental will include one full tank of propane for the BBQ.
Renters are required to bring own linens (owners supply blankets and pillows), drinking water and food including condiments.
IMPORTANT POLICIES:
- Check in is 3pm and check out is 11am (unless otherwise stated in cottage description)
- Peak season (summer) rentals must be a minimum of seven days from Saturday to Saturday (unless otherwise stated in the cottage listing)
